CALCULUS OF VARIATIONS WITH DIRICHLET BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM FOR PERTURBED SECOND-ORDER DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS ON A HALF-LINE

Dirichlet boundary value problems for perturbed second-order differential equations on a half line are investigated in this paper. The methods mainly depend on the calculus of variations to the classical functionals. Sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of the solutions.

采用实空间重整化群变换的方法,研究了2维和d(d>2)维X分形晶格上Gauss模型的临界性质.结果表明:这种晶格与其他分形晶格一样,在临界点处,其最近邻相互作用参量也可以表示为K=bqiqi(qi是格点i的配位数,bqi是格点i上自旋取值的Gauss分布常数)的形式;其关联长度临界指数v与空间维数d(或分形维数df)有关.这与Ising模型的结果存在很大的差异. 关键词： X分形晶格 重整化群 Gauss模型 临界性质     

Magnetic hysteresis of the magnetoresistance and the critical current density in polycrystalline YBa2Cu3O7−δ–Ag superconductors

A systematic study of the magnetic hysteresis in transport properties of polycrystalline YBa₂Cu₃O_7−δ–Ag compounds has been made based on two kinds of measurements at 77 K and under applied magnetic fields up to 30 mT: critical current density J_c(B_a) and magnetoresistance R(B_a). The R(B_a) curves show a minimum in their decreasing branch occurring at B=B_min which was found to be both the excitation current I_ex and the maximum applied magnetic field B_am dependent. In addition, for a certain value of B_am>5 mT, we have observed that B_min increases with increasing I_ex and reaches a saturation value. The J_c(B_a) curves show a maximum in decreasing applied magnetic fields occurring at B=B_max. We have also found that B_max increases with increasing B_am and reaches a saturation value. The minimum in the R(B_a) and the maximum in J_c(B_a) curves were found to be related to the trapped flux within the grains. All the experimental results are discussed within the context of the flux dynamics and transport mechanisms in these high-T_c materials.

Corner spontaneous magnetization

Details are given of a new method allowing an exact calculation of the spontaneous magnetization in the corner as well as along the edge at an arbitrary distance of the corner for a rectangular planar Ising ferromagnet.     

On the theory of vapor — Liquid — Crystal phase transitions

An approach is discussed which allows one to describe within the framework of the single model the aggregative states of a system of atoms obeying the Fermi statistics. A phase diagram is obtained containing both the critical point where the distinctions between the liquid and vapor vanish and the triple point where the liquid, vapor, and crystal are in equilibrium.     

Shape preservation regions for six-dimensional spaces

We analyze the critical length for design purposes of six-dimensional spaces invariant under translations and reflections containing the functions 1, cos t and sin t. These spaces also contain the first degree polynomials as well as trigonometric and/or hyperbolic functions. We identify the spaces whose critical length for design purposes is greater than 2π and find its maximum 4π. By a change of variables, two biparametric families of spaces arise. We call shape preservation region to the set of admissible parameters in order that the space has shape preserving representations for curves. We describe the shape preserving regions for both families. Pairwise Correlations in a Multicomponent Anisotropic Liquid

We investigate a multicomponent anisotropic liquid system. The first spatial moment of the direct correlation function is taken into account to obtain asymptotic expressions for the pairwise correlation functions. In this approximation, we obtain the pairwise correlation functions that describe the system behavior not only in the critical-state neighborhood but also in the noncritical domain. We show that the critical parameters for the anisotropic system differ from those for the isotropic system.     

对比式离心现象实验装置

为了弥补现行教科书中,离心运动的演示实验装置及离心现象产生实质的知识呈现不足,设计了符合学生认知规律的离心实验装置.该装置通过对比2个物体在相同的角速度下产生相反的运动状态,说明物体做离心运动,不是由角速度产生,而是只有合外为突然消失或是合外力不足以提供向心力时,才能产生离心运动.     

Existence and multiplicity of solutions for a nonlinear Neumann problem

We consider a Neumann problem of the type -εΔu+F ^′(u(x))=0 in an open bounded subset Ω of R ⁿ , where F is a real function which has exactly k maximum points. Using Morse theory we find that, for ε suitably small, there are at least 2k nontrivial solutions of the problem and we give some qualitative information about them.
